My friend and I had lunch at Applebee's the other day, they have daily lunch specials for 3.500, they hid the lunch menus because they were raising it to 3.750 and had yet to produce the new ones. The waitress handed us the new menus which we all know means new prices. This was the case, they have raised their prices again.
It is time for us to leave Kuwait. Especially the expats. The government can't increase the prices of petrol like Saudi which is needed to avoid the government finances from collapsing but that will mean the locals and expats face terrible price increases. Unfortunately we have been so cushioned by subsidies for so many years that we now have to bear the brunt of this oil price collapse. When the Gulf countries raised the prices of oil from 55$ to 110$ other countries bore terrible pains as well as the industries like airlines. Now it is the time of the Oil producers to suffer. What goes around, comes around I guess.
