The Heritage Village has started back up after the recovery of old Kuwaiti artifacts including part of the original wall that once surrounded Kuwait and remnants of old Kuwaiti houses. Unfortunately the construction will cover the area in time and it what's left will again be hidden. There are many areas with archaeological sites but they sit on prime land which means money is preferred over preservation and most of the history will be found in the few books about Kuwait as the old generations are slowly passing away and with them go the stories of how life once was.
If we don't interview the elderly and record their stories and the old Kuwaiti language our future children will no nothing of the struggles of Kuwait and will only know that driving an expensive car shows your worth. God help the children of the future.
