Kuwait will shut its government offices for nine days towards the end of this month to mark Eid Al Fitr at the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, a newspaper in the oil-rich Gulf emirate reported on Tuesday.
The Arabic language daily Al Anba said the holiday would begin on July 24 and ends on August 2 whether Eid starts on July 28 or 29.
“The Eid holiday in Kuwait is normally three days but since it will come in the middle of two weekends this month, the holiday will be nine days,” the paper said.
Last week, Saudi Arabia said its civil servant would have a 12-day break for Eid.
