GUIDED TOUR: SAS MARINE MUSEUM & VISIT TO A TRADITIONAL COFFEE SHOP

The SAS Marine Museum displays twelve large model Arabic Dhows—wooden boats powered only by the wind. Adjacent to the museum is the world's largest Dhow, 'Al Hashemi-II’ and on the wall of the museum, is the authentic certificate earned in 2002; A Guinness World Record for the 'largest wooden Arabic Dhow’ The museum showcases traditional Dhow shipbuilding tools and pictures of maritime activities including seafaring expeditions, shipbuilding and pearl diving. Join AWARE for a fascinating look into the history of the Dhow and the small seaport of Kuwait. After the tour of the museum and Hashemi II Dhow, AWARE guests will visit one of the traditional coffee shops near Marina Mall. Tea / Coffee will be provided.
